Continuing on in the house tour, is our powder room, which is just a few steps from our entry way. It isn’t exactly how I want it, but it’s a small improvement from what it was and helps me visualize what I’d like to do. The walls were a bright cornflower blue, just not my vibe, so I painted them Chantilly Lace by Benjamin Moore. For a special touch, I painted the ceiling a light, airy blue (kind of like you see on vintage porches). The colour is Soar by Behr and it really creates an airy vibe in here.
So, we decided to tackle a built-in bench for the entryway. A simple, floating bench with a simple, upholstered seat on top. That way, it would add space for storage, and still accomplish the nice, airy feeling we were going for.
Next up is Leo’s nursery/big boy room. His is actually the smallest room in the house but he likes his cozy room, he says.
His nursery had a subtle woodland theme. It is a very light grey with a deep navy feature wall around the window. The paint colours are Gentleman’s Gray and Calm (50% strength) by Benjamin Moore. This room used to be our guest room and we painted it this way hoping it would be a nursery one day.
